Monte Albán

Un sitio Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, estas ruinas —que alguna vez fueron la capital zapoteca— se encuentran en lo alto de una montaña a las afueras de la ciudad, con vistas increíbles al valle de Oaxaca.

Mercados

Visitar el Mercado Benito Juárez y el Mercado 20 de Noviembre es la mejor forma de explorar Oaxaca.

Catas de Mezcal

Como bien saben, el mezcal es de Oaxaca. Casi en cualquier parte de la ciudad podrán encontrar una gran variedad para probar. La hemos pasado muy bien en Mezcalería Los Amantes y Sabina Sabe, pero hay muchísimos otros lugares que descubrir.

Talleres y Mercados de Artesanía

Oaxaca es famosa por sus artesanías. Entre las más conocidas están los alebrijes, el barro negro y los tapetes de lana tejidos a mano.

En la ciudad hay muchas tiendas de artesanía, pero también puedes unirte al tour que visitará talleres artesanales el jueves.

Monte Albán Ruins

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the ruins that used to be the Zapotec capital sit at the top of a mountain just outside of the city, with views of the Oaxaca valley.

Mezcal Tastings

Mezcal is from Oaxaca! Almost anywhere you go in the city will have a wide variety of Mezcales for you to enjoy. We love Los Amantes Mezcalería and Sabina Sabe, but there are many other places to visit.

Artisan Studios and Markets

Oaxaca is known for many forms of traditional art, and the talented people who have mastered them. Among the most notable are alebrijes (intricate wooden sculptures of mythical creatures), unique black clay ceramics and handwoven rugs.

You can visit many art and handicraft shops in the city, or visit the artisan workshops on Thursday with a guided tour. More details in the link below.
